Nelson Mullins offers two health plan options to all full-time eligible partners, attorneys and staff. Plans are offered through BlueCross and BlueShield. Choose from a traditional low deductible plan or a qualified High Deductible Plan with HSA option. Learn more about the health plan options below and choose the plan that’s right for you!

Find Care – Pricing Data from BCBS - The Transparency in Coverage Rule requires group health plans to post pricing data in the form of Machine-readable Files (MRFs). BCBS has provided a link to pricing data for your use. To access the files, you will need the following identification number: 570215445. Note: The best way to find the cost of care is through your BCBS member portal (my health toolkit) and use the Shopping for Care service. You can choose your care option (for example, MRI, abdomen) and find the approximate “real” cost to you as it’s linked to your plan deductible, etc.

Dental Insurance

Dental coverage is offered by Delta Dental, one of the largest dental providers in the U.S. Comprehensive benefits include cleanings, fillings, crowns, and orthodontia for children and adults. Short Term Disability

Nelson Mullins offers short-term disability benefits to eligible Partners, Attorneys, and Staff. Disability benefits may be payable, upon meeting plan eligibility criteria, due to your own non-work related injury or illness that makes you unable to work. Read the policies in the Firm’s Policy Guide. 

Long Term Disability

Long-term income protection is available to eligible Full-Time Partners, Attorneys, and Staff if you are unable to work due to a non-work related injury or illness. Benefits are generally payable to age 65/Social Security Normal Retirement Age. In addition, our W-2 attorneys and staff are able to purchase an additional long term disability buy-up coverage benefit. Review the Benefits Guide for a synopsis of benefits. Voluntary Insurance Plans

These benefits plans complement your health insurance by providing payable benefits for an accident, a diagnosed critical illness, and in patient hospitalization. Each plan works independently – and does not coordinate coverage with your medical insurance. This means that the plans pay benefits to YOU in addition to any benefits paid by your medical plan to your healthcare provider. The plans pay based on a schedule of benefits rather than a specific reimbursement of your expenses. Accident Plan - Help minimize the financial impact when you have an accident, whether at work, at home, or away (24-hour coverage). Cover yourself and your family members. Receive cash benefits for covered injuries (like a fracture), treatments (such as crutches) and services (like an x-ray). Paid Time Off

Nelson Mullins provide paid time off to all eligible full-time Partners, Attorneys, and Staff. Our non-exempt staff can enjoy a generous PTO package (vacation, sick, personal with no distinction being made with respect to paid time off). Exempt staff receive Vacation as noted in the Vacation Policy. Attorneys may take reasonable vacation at convenient times during the year. Exempt attorneys and exempt staff who are unable to work due to a non-work related illness or injury are eligible for Sick Leave, as noted in the Sick Leave Policy. Review your Benefits Guide for a synopsis of benefits. Review the Paid Time Off and Sick Leave policies in the Firm’s Policy Guide.
